The Background

You need to have an understanding of what the environment consists of and importantly:

• What organisms there are in the Australian bush;
• How the organisms have adapted to their surroundings;
• How a change in the environment, due to tree clearing, will affect Australian animals;
• What a food web is and food webs that exist in the Australian bush;
• How tree clearing has affected these food webs;
• Other affects of tree clearing such as salinity and erosion and their effect on the environment.

                                                     The Task 
You are to use the background information above to help form your views, with your unique perspective in mind, to assist you in arriving at a compromise with the different factions involved that all have a vested interest in the issue of tree clearing. This will assist you in  forming a possible answer or solution to the tree clearing issue.
